Jason Church

I’m Jason Church, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager, Fear Free Certified Veterinary Professional, (he/him), and Practice Manager at Newport Animal Clinic on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina. With more than 30 years of experience in animal welfare, veterinary medicine, and practice leadership, I’ve worked across nearly every corner of the profession, from kennels and shelter medicine to multimodal practice management. My professional focus is on elevating patient care, strengthening veterinary teams, and building clinic environments that are safe, efficient, inclusive, and sustainable. My experience includes veterinary operations, human resources, workflow optimization, technology integration, web development, community engagement, and nonprofit leadership. I am an active member of AVMA, AAHA, VHMA, NCVMA, PrideVMC, and HRC. I am deeply committed to inclusive veterinary medicine, LGBTQIA+ visibility, mental health advocacy, compassionate leadership, and creating workplace cultures where both people and animals are treated with dignity and respect. Outside of work, my interests include companion animals, veterinary leadership, the Crystal Coast, science fiction and fantasy, spirituality, social connection, human rights, paranormal research, and mental health awareness.
